Care Instructions for the Compressor

General Description:
The compressor is very quiet and may be used directly at the workplace. The compressor is equipped with a control unit with filter controller, manometer, and self-sealing-coupling. The built-in push-button allows a fully automatic operation of the compressor. The compressor is plugged into a controlled plug.

Cleaning / Replacement:
The suction filter can be removed if it is turned counterclockwise and disposed afterwards. The new suction filter will be screwed in clockwise. It is necessary to de-energize the compressor for the filter exchange (unplug the compressor).
The carbon filter and the pre- / ultrafilter respectively of the microfilter combination can be exchanged if the lower part of the filter cartridge casing is screwed off and the filter cartridge in the inside will be removed. The new replacement cartridge will be inserted; the O-ring sealings will be replaced with the delivered new sealings and the lower part of the casing will be screwed on again. Dirt residues on the lower casing part have to be removed with soap water and a brush before the lower part is screwed on again. It is necessary that the compressor is de-energized for the filter exchange (unplug the compressor).
The compressor has to be de-energized for the oil exchange (unplug the compressor), the pressure line has to be cut off and the pressure vessel has to be totally pressureless. The four hexagon sockets in the compressor lid have to be loosened and removed together with the lid. The compressor will be turned 180° to drain and dispose the oil. Please do not forget that the unit has to be fastened and held all the time. The compressor may be put back on its feet after the oil has been removed. The compressor lid will be fastened again with the four hexagon sockets. The oil inlet screw at the compressor lid will be removed and the compressor oil vessel will be filled with new oil according the fill level labeling. The oil inlet screw has to be closed, the pressure line connected, and the compressor plugged in again.
A leakage test of the pressure line has to be carried out during ever check, after every cleaning or after every exchange. It is possible that a leak in the pressure line causes an overheating and subsequently a damage of the compressor.
The condensate, which could be built up due to the compression in the air vessel, has to be removed from the vessel with the drain valve on the underside of the air vessel once a week.

Product Care:
The oil level of the compressor has to be checked at least once a week. It is necessary to refill suitable compressor oil if the oil level is in the lower half of the level glass (glass bowl).

Time Interval:
The cleaning (condensate) has to take place once a week.
The product care (oil level inspection) has to take place once a week.
The exchange of the suction filter has to take place once a year.
The exchange of the activated carbon filter, prefilter / ultrafilter has to take place once a year. An immediate exchange is necessary if an econometer is present and its indicator is in the red zone.
The oil exchange has to be carried out once a year.
The surface of the compressor has to be free and clean (otherwise the compressor may overheat).
The compressor has to undergo a general overhaul in the factory of “Thermarium” Baeder-Bau GmbH every two and a half years (wear of the valve diaphragm, etc.); major damages may not be foreclosed otherwise.

Safety Related Details:
The compressor has to be de-energized and depressurized before every maintenance works (cleaning, exchange, and product care) takes place (otherwise danger for life or physical condition).
Please pay attention to the detailed instructions on the package of the used product.
The compressor may have a power loss if it is overheated. The compressor has to undergo a complete maintenance in the factory of “Thermarium” Baeder-Bau GmbH if it overheats.
